JCP&L: Power Restored to About 2,000 Homes in Morristown, Township

Area Manager reports on restoration of services.

Area Manager Stan Prater of Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L ) reports that power has been restored to all of the approximately 2,000 customers who lost service earlier today in Morris Township and Morristown.

JCP&L spokesman Ron Morano said that downed wires in Morristown were partly to blame.

Prater said that customers who lose service should call 1-800-662-3115. In order to expedite repairs, callers should report anything unusual they may have noticed at the time of the outage, such as odd sounds. When calling to report a problem with a pole, be sure to convey any information you have on the state of the pole and its wires.
