Morristown Movies Still 'Three Weeks Away'

No word on Eric 'Fluffy' Glover's bid to reclaim his job.

For the first time in months, there are signs of life at the movie theater in Headquarters Plaza.

Less than 24 hours after officially taking over, general manager Dayon Saunders and a crew have been taking stock of the current theater and preparing it for a re-opening.

"We look to be three weeks away or so," Saunders said. "And the theater will essentially open as is until the renovations start."

According to officials at AMC, renovations planned for the 10-screen theater include plush power recliners, a revamped concession area that includes hot foods such as mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, French fries and pizza, Coca-Cola Freestyle machines and state-of-the-art presentation equipment, such as new movie screens, new speakers and 100 percent digital projectors. The improvements will be completed in phases, allowing the theater to remain open during the work.

Saunders, who is a Newark resident was commuting to an AMC location in the Bronx up until starting in Morristown on Monday.

And what about Eric "Fluffy" Glover, the famous ticket taker who had an interview Monday to reclaim his storied job?

While Saunders was aware of Glover and his interview, he declined to comment on personnel, except to say he did not interview Fluffy personally.
