Morristown Non-Profit Offering Female College Students Low Interest Loans

P.E.O. looking to help coeds with educational costs.

Nearly 10 million American women attend post-secondary education each year, and the Morristown Chapter H of the Philanthropic and Educational Organization (P.E.O.) wants to help.

According to the organization, more than half of those women borrow annually to help cover costs. The P.E.O. has an Educational Loan Fund offering loans up to $12,000, or $20,000 for doctoral degrees, at an interest rate of 3-percent.

Qualified students may be enrolled part-time or full-time, and degrees from accredited institutions will qualify, including technical and online degrees. At the time of application, the organization said, the student must be enrolled in the accredited school and within two years of completion.
