The Taco Truck Drives Into Morristown

The Morristown location on Morris Street will be flagship restaurant as company begins franchising.

Last Wednesday was the soft opening of The Taco Truck in Morristown. Partners Jason Scott and Chris Viola opened the flagship restaurant at 50 Morris St., next to 7-Eleven.

A grand opening will come later, but for now, they're happy to open their doors to the public.

"All of us at The Taco Truck are very excited to finally open our doors and be a part of the community," said Scott. "We know our guests are going to love our food—it's authentic Mexican, tastes great and is good for you, made from the freshest all-natural ingredients.  It's also important to us to be in a community that shares our vision of sustainability. Every day, the more people we meet, we know Morristown was the perfect choice for our flagship restaurant."

They launched The Taco Truck in 2009 and opened up its first brick and mortar in Hoboken in 2010.

After acquiring the space earlier this year, “we spent about eight months in design and construction and are excited to get it open and ready to go,” said Viola.
