Panera Bread Opening in Morristown Sept. 8

Popular cafe chain to occupy three former storefronts in Midtown Shopping Center.

As if Morristownians didn't already have a plethora of dining options to choose from. Now, a familiar face is ready to join the fray.

Panera Bread, the quick-casual cafe chain, will open its doors at 60 Morris St., in the Midtown Shopping Center, on Sept. 8.

According to a press release, the Morristown location "offers a warm and welcoming environment including intimate seating areas, comfortable chairs, a community table and free WiFi Internet access."

Morristown Panera General Manager Jen Clewell said in the press release, “This is very exciting and we are so pleased to bring new job opportunities to the community for people who live in the area.”

Panera Bread at the end of Midtown Shopping Center closest to the Highlands at Morristown Station apartment building. Morris Pizzeria moved further down, while a laundromat has closed. The third space, once occupied by Star Music, had been empty for some time prior to Panera's arrival.

The Morristown location joins several areas in this area, including in Florham Park, Denville, Rockaway and Succasunna.
