Panera Bread Opening in Morristown Sept. 8

Popular cafe chain to occupy three former storefronts in Midtown Shopping Center.

As if Morristownians didn't already have a plethora of dining options to choose from. Now, a familiar face is ready to join the fray.

Panera Bread, the quick-casual cafe chain, will open its doors at 60 Morris St., in the Midtown Shopping Center, on Sept. 8.

According to a press release, the Morristown location "offers a warm and welcoming environment including intimate seating areas, comfortable chairs, a community table and free WiFi Internet access."

Morristown Panera General Manager Jen Clewell said in the press release, “This is very exciting and we are so pleased to bring new job opportunities to the community for people who live in the area.”

Panera Bread at the end of Midtown Shopping Center closest to the Highlands at Morristown Station apartment building. Morris Pizzeria moved further down, while a laundromat has closed. The third space, once occupied by Star Music, had been empty for some time prior to Panera's arrival.

The Morristown location joins several areas in this area, including in Florham Park, Denville, Rockaway and Succasunna.

Sweet! Maybe my company can stop ordering "healthy" lunch from horrible Cosi and start getting some delicious Panera Bread!

I love cosi. Low calorie (if you order the right stuff) and delicious.

Great use of space!! A win for that section of Morristown, we just need to get something in the transit village building. Bring on the Apple Store................
Chris August 30, 2012 at 01:50 PM
Ryan, what do you get there? Maybe I need to try something different. They may be low calorie, but IMO they are VERY VERY high in sodium. You can actually see the salt that is sprinkled on top of the bread.

I took Betsy to Charles' Coffee Shop on Columbus Circle. I had black coffee and apple pie with a slice of melted yellow cheese. I think that was a good selection. Betsy had coffee and a fruit salad dish. She could've had anything she wanted.

My life has taken another turn again. The days move along with regularity, over and over. One day indistinguishable from the next. A long continuous chain. Then, suddenly, there is a change
