Personal Trainers for the Masses Coming to the Green

Springfield's No Body Denied will bring a state of the art fitness center—and affordable personal training—to Morristown.

A new fitness center is coming to Morristown. Mack-Cali Realty Corp. subsidiary Roseland and Woodmont Properties announced Thursday that the business No Body Denied has signed a lease for a 10,000-square-foot space in downtown's Shops on the Green that will become a state-of-the-art health club and personal training studio.

No Body Denied will be on the lower level of 40 Park, where it will have neighbors including Roots Steak House, Starbucks, Urban Table, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Powerflow Yoga and the AT&T Store.

“No Body Denied is a great addition to the Shops on the Green which has become a centerpiece in Morristown’s dynamic downtown business district,” said Debra Tantleff, vice president of development for Roseland.  “The health club complements the other businesses at the Shops on the Green and surrounding area and brings an exciting new amenity to both our residents and the community at large.”

Ken Carrier, president of NBD Fitness, said Morristown is the right town to become the home of the gym's second branch.

“We love the location due to the fact that it’s a young area, it’s affluent and it has grown tremendously in recent years,” he said.  “It’s an exciting neighborhood, but it is in dire need of a fitness facility.”

Right now the company has a successful site in Springfield.

The Morristown No Body Denied, aka the “NBD Training Zone,” will offer all of the amenities and equipment found in traditional health clubs, such as cardio machines, free weights, a spinning studio, towel service and upscale locker rooms. What may make the business stand out from the pack, however, is that it will give regular folks access to affordable personal training and large group training classes.

According to Carrier, nationally certified trainers will lead about 70 different classes each week in the gym’s turf-covered personal training studio.

“We know people in Morristown are on the move,” he said. “The new model we’re rolling out is perfect for people who are busy because we can get you results in 30 minutes. You get in, you get out.

"It’s 30 minutes of functional training.”

No Body Denied is scheduled to open late this summer. About three months before the grand opening, the fitness center will allow prospective new members into the gym to see for themselves what the NBD Training Zone is all about. They will also have a chance to join the club at specially discounted pre-sale membership rates.
