Photos: Rock, Paper, Scissors for Soup Kitchen

Morris County Jaycees event at The Famished Frog on Wednesday helped raise money for charity.

Rock beats scissors. Scissors beats paper. Paper beats rock. Whatever your strategy, everyone was a winner Wednesday when the held its inaugural "Rock, Paper, Scissors" tournament at .

Forty-seven competitors went head-to-head in a single-elimination, bracket-style tournament. Brittany Reddin, of Rockaway, took third place, taking home the “dinner and a movie” prize before the final show down of the evening. Jessica Colombrito, also of Rockaway went "hand-to-hand" against Diego Pinillos, of Budd Lake.  In the best-of-five competition, the pair dueled each other back and forth to a two-two tie, but when the final “shoot” was yelled by the referee, it was Pinillos who came out on top. Pinillos was crowned the first ever "Rock, Paper, Scissors" champion and was adorned with the coveted "Rock, Paper, Scissors" champion shirt and also took home the grand prize of a $150 gift card to Ticketmaster and a $150 gift card to Marriot for a night out in the city of his choice. Colombrito took home an Amazon Kindle. All tournament donations were provided by Celgene Cellular Therapeutics.

In addition to the tournament, a raffle with prizes included Yankees tickets donated by Premio Foods, a golf bag and donations from local businesses such as , , and . In total, the event raised $745, and a donation of $250 will be made to the on behalf of the Morris County Jaycees.
