Put Your Paws Up in Morristown on Saturday

Morristown eatery George and Martha’s is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday for your furry friends: Put Your Paws Up.

“There’s going to be a pet-friendly event at George and Martha’s to support the 911 Dog and Cat Rescue,” said Councilwoman Alison Deeb. “It’s a wonderful charitable cause that helps with dog and cat rescues and veterinary bills. There are lots of different activities. It’s pet and family friendly.”

It runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot behind George and Martha’s and is in honor of General Manager Mark Housden’s late Chihuahua Diego.

“The out pouring of the communities support for this event has been overwhelming”, said Housden.

“Pets need good homes and hope a lot of people attend. It’s a good event,” said Mayor Tim Dougherty.
