Peapack-Gladstone Bank Announces New Employees and Recent Promotions

Marie Arney of Caldwell, New Jersey has been promoted to vice president, electronic banking at Peapack-Gladstone Bank.   Ms. Arney has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry formerly holding positions at Carteret Savings Bank, Garden State Community Bank and Pinnacle Federal Credit Union.  She joined Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2009.

Richard Barfuss has been promoted to the position of vice president, senior investment strategist for Peapack-Gladstone Bank’s wealth management division.  Richard is responsible for managing fixed income investment portfolios and providing equity and fixed income analytics and research.  He previously served as vice president of financial service and as financial analyst at Weichert Commercial Brokerage.  Prior to that, he served as asset manager at Mobility Properties focusing on market analysis, budgeting and financial modeling.  Mr. Barfuss graduated with distinction with a degree in Economics from Middlebury College and is a volunteer for the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Jan C. Barkley, a resident of Chatham, New Jersey, joins Peapack-Gladstone Bank as vice president, director of asset/liability management.  Jan has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years most recently serving as vice president and treasurer of MetLife Bank focusing on asset/liability management, product pricing, liquidity management, collateral management and capital management.  Previously, he served as U.S. Treasurer for Norma Securities International and in Treasury Planning with Ryan Beck and Morgan Stanley.  Jan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and holds an MBA from Bowling Green State University.   He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Trustee of the Senior Center of the Chathams.

Glen Corbitt, a resident of Chatham, New Jersey, joins Peapack-Gladstone Bank as senior portfolio manager for its wealth management division.  Mr. Corbitt is part of the team responsible for managing Peapack-Gladstone Bank’s trust and investments function, helping to guide clients with overall wealth advisory services and solutions.  Mr. Corbitt is a seasoned financial services executive with a high performing track record who brings 18 years of experience in wealth management to the Bank having served as portfolio manager with U.S. Trust and its banking predecessors. In addition, Corbitt managed U.S. Trust’s former flagship large and mid-cap growth fund.  Prior to that, he served as head of equity research and analysis.  Before beginning his banking career, Glen was assigned as an officer in the United States Army in Fort Lewis, Washington.  Mr. Corbitt is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College in Rhode Island and an MBA from New York University.  As a dedicated volunteer of the Boy Scouts of America, Glen has assisted as scoutmaster for 12 years.

Cecelia Lardieri of Bedminster, New Jersey now serves as vice president, assistant director of human resources at Peapack-Gladstone Bank.  Cecelia brings 12 years of Human Resources experience to the Bank previously serving in similar positions at Hunterdon Healthcare, TD Bank and Capital One.  She holds a Bachelors Degree from Seton Hall University and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Sharon Murphy of Great Meadows, New Jersey has been promoted to the position of assistant cashier, assistant supervisor, deposit services at Peapack-Gladstone Bank.  Sharon has over 24 years of banking experience and was awarded the Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association.  She is Treasurer of the Free Union United Methodist Church in Great Meadows. 

Victoria Scalera of Tewksbury, New Jersey has been promoted to the position of vice president, underwriter.  Victoria has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry formerly holding the position of comptroller in a corporate credit union.  Employed by the Bank for 14 years, she holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Hamilton S. Silva, a resident of Middlesex County, joins Peapack-Gladstone Bank as vice president, relationship banker offering custom-tailored solutions for clients’ banking and financial needs.  Hamilton most recently served as a senior personal banker with Sun National Bank in Branchburg, New Jersey.  In a previous role, he served as a licensed personal banker with JPMorgan Chase Bank as well as a broker for Chase Investment and Insurance Services for Central New Jersey.  Hamilton has held the Series 6, Series 63 and Life Insurance and Variable Licenses. Trilingual in English, Portuguese and Spanish, Hamilton served on the boards of multiple Portuguese social clubs throughout New Jersey and is involved in fundraising efforts that support their community and both large and small charities.

Nefretery Yannotta has been promoted to the position of assistant cashier at Peapack-Gladstone Bank.  Nefretery has 13 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Before joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2006, she held the position of assistant branch manager at the Bridgewater, New Jersey Regional Office of Commerce Bank, NA.
