Local Synchronized Skaters Start New Year with a Bang
Mennen Synchronized Skaters skate in various charity events and competitions.
Precisely Right Synchronized Skating Teams started the New Year with a bang. On Jan. 5 at CitiPond, Bryant Park in New York City, the junior team, consisting of 20 middle and high school aged girls from all over the tri state area, skated in “Sing & Skate Against Breast Cancer” with Winter Olympians, Kimmie Meisner, Emily Hughes, Nicole Bobek and Jo Jo Starbuck. Precisely Right was honored to be asked to skate for such a great cause with these Olympians.
While the junior team exhibited in NYC, the Pre-Juvenile and Open Adult teams took on the fierce competition at the Colonial Classic Synchronized Competition in Lowell, MA. Both teams skated beautifully and the judges agreed as the pre-juvenile team was awarded the silver medal in a very competitive group.
In addition to these events, the pre- juvenile and beginner teams exhibited on Dec. 29 at the annual Sno-ball Classic at Mennen Arena to an enthusiastic crowd. The Sno-ball Classic is always special to the skaters as they get to perform locally for family and friends.
