I would like to redo my family room but have a limited budget. I also don’t know where to begin and then end up doing nothing because I can’t afford to completely redecorate the whole room. What is the first step to getting started?
Thanks for your question, let me help you get out of design paralysis.
The key to getting started is to get a fresh eye to look at your room. I always offer a complimentary initial design consultation for my clients. I come to your home and take a look at the room you need help with. This appointment is pretty quick and easy and a lot of good things happen at this time. I tell my clients all the time that this is where we pick our poison. We determine together where you need to spend your money and where you can cheat and use some tricks of the trade to get the job done within your budget.
You can still get that finished look you are wanting without breaking the bank and redoing the whole entire room. We also shop your home because you probably have pieces in your home that aren’t working in their current location to bring into the room you are working on and bring a new purpose to that furniture piece. Then we make a solid plan for what you still need and get going. That’s pretty much it. Boom. Done.
Your room will come together in no time. It’s really not that difficult, it just seems that way because you are trying to tackle it alone. Please stop by the store with your design questions. Bring in pictures of your space or post a picture on this blog and I can give you some quick advice to get you started. I am happy to help you in that way but there is nothing like an in-home consultation where I am standing with you in that space where I can offer you my best suggestions.
And hey, its complimentary and not scary, so there is no reason to spin your wheels alone and not accomplish anything. Come and see me!
