5 Ways To Celebrate a Presidential Holiday

Our founding fathers probably would have loved getting a bite to eat as a form of honoring them.

Happy Birthday, Mr. President.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but with temperatures rising above freezing today, a nasty mix of wet and snowy is in your forecast, George.

But, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy President's Day and, of course, G.W.'s birthday.

Here are five ways to do just that:

  1. You Need to Know Schools Will Be Closed: In honor of President's Day, all Morris School District students get to take the day off. Now, there's one way to celebrate.
  2. You Need to Know About What better way to honor our first president (and 16th) then by visiting one of America's most historic sites, right here in Morristown?
  3. You Need to Know the Presidents Are Being Honored: has been having celebrations since Feb. 18, leading up to a birthday party for the big guy, at 6 p.m. tomorrow night.
  4. You Need to Know About President's Day Crafts: The Morris Museum has them, from noon to 2 p.m. Bring your kids along and have them come up with likenesses of George or Abe!
  5. You Need to Know a Penny (or Quarter, or Dollar, or Five Dollars) Saved Is ...: On this day honoring our founding fathers, make it a point to put a little savings away for a rainy day. Or, give it to a good cause here in town. They will surely appreciate as many George's and Abraham's you can spare.
