Animal Cruelty Charges, Fattys, Panera Top Morristown News

The lawyer for Morristown's Director of Human Services—charged with starving his dog—said those alleging the charges did not even do the most fundamental of investigations and that his client is innocent.

Two Morristown men accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl last September will remain in the Morris County Juvenile Detention Center at least until several DVDs of testimony from the accused are reviewed by defense.

Don Lynch, president of JCP&L, said the utility took its performance to heart. "Following Irene, we started working with the BPU (Board of Public Utilities) on communication improvements," he said. "We recognized we had some opportunity following Irene. [It] required a lot of communication."

Panera Bread, the quick-casual cafe chain, will open its doors at 60 Morris St., in the Midtown Shopping Center, on Sept. 8.
