Business in the Front, Party a Little Further Down

Here are some things to consider checking out today in Morristown.

It's the morning, which means it's time for "Five Things You Need to Know." Do you need to know about government meetings, karaoke, rolfing? You have come to the right place.

Today's "Five Things" has business in the front, party in the back. Or, at least, further down the list. OK, here we go!

1) You might want to pack a lunch for this one. Town government will be holding a departmental budget hearing, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the mayor and administration office, fourth floor, conference. All our encouraged to attend.

2) If budget hearings are not your thing but you still happen to be in Town Hall, and are a senior, why not check out the "Flex & Stretch" session going on at 10 a.m., in the senior center, third floor?

3) While the term "rolfing" sounds like something someone might do after too much Thanksgiving turkey, it's actually a technique that can be used to help align the body. Ed Hemberger, a practicioner on Structural Integration (based on the "Rolf" method) will be at the Health Shoppe, from 7 to 8 p.m., to give a presentation and offer demonstration on this practice. Free.

4) Trivia ... Tryst? Sounds saucy. Every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., Sona Thirteen holds the popular event, with drink specials all night and prizes for the top three teams.

5) And speaking of fun times at Morristown's bars, it's every other week, which means karaoke is back at Grasshopper off the Green, at 9:30 p.m. Put on your best singing voice, or just rock whatever you have, regardless of tone or lack thereof.
