Morristown Theater to Close Despite Bow Tie Cinema Efforts

There was much surprise in the community with the news of the closing of Clearview Cinema Headquarters after Bow Tie Cinemas of Ridgefield, Conn. announced it purchased 41 Clearview Cinema theaters from Cablevision. But area cinema-goers will get to enjoy Clearview for at least a few more weeks. No specific closing date was given

State Seizes Liquor Inventory from Sona Thirteen

Liquor was seized from Sona Thirteen and about 30 other bars and restaurants throughout New Jersey as part of "Operation Swill," and served demands for records from 29 licensed bars and restaurants throughout the state. These establishments were allegedly filling premium brand bottles with non-premium brands in an attempt to fool the customer and increase profits. They would charge the premium cost, but pour the lower quality brand.

Black Bear Sightings in Morris Township

There have been sightings of a black bear roaming through Morris Township, said township police. Earlier this month, two were seen crossing Columbia Road.

Morristown Named One of ‘America’s Best High Schools’

Morristown High School was named one of the country’s best high schools in the Newsweek and Daily Beast’s annual ‘America’s Best High Schools’ list.

The list ranked what it called the 2,000 best high schools across the country. Morristown High School was ranked No. 1272.

High-End Wine Store with Delivery Service Coming to Morristown

Two locals are looking to take advantage of the "BYOB" nature of many Morristown restaurants with the launch of a new business at The Highlands at Morristown Station, next to the incoming restaurant, The Godfather.

Cambridge Wines is the new business from co-owners Anthony Dinelli, 24, originally from New York, and David Bernat, 22, who is from the Morristown area.
