Doctors Perform Risky Cranial Surgery on 1-Year-Old

Physicians at Morristown Medical Center help a Honduran girl suffering from a rare condition.

Doctors at Morristown Medical Center performed a risky cranial surgery on 1-year-old Emily Reyes Cardona to help correct a condition that could have affected her brain and vision, NJ.com reported Wednesday.

A host family will care for Cardona while she recovers from the surgery. Then she’ll be sent home to her parents in Honduras.
