Easter Weekend falls on April 23-24 this year, which means you have less than a week to figure out what you'll be doing. Even if you missed various egg hunts, bunny breakfasts and other activities, there are still some enjoyable events of the culinary persuasion coming up.
- You Need to Know About Sunday Brunch at : The Elm Street establishment began to offer a Sunday brunch menu earlier this month, and will be offering it on Easter, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items are a la carte between $6 and $18 and include such things as baby spinach salad, carmelized onion soup, challah french toast and the "Sebastian's" burger. Complimentary mimosa's or bloody mary's are available, and bottles of wine are half-price. A special Easter dinner menu also is in the works.
- You Need to Know About Easter Buffet at : This historically-inspired restaurant on Morris Street will have a $25 per person Easter buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items include: eggs benedict, "O'Brien" potatoes, sausage, bacon, fresh salmon, fresh fruit, grilled chicken over mixed vegetables, vanilla French toast and a carving station.
- You Need to Know About Rod's Three-Course Easter Dinner: If you don't mind driving a very short way out of town, you can enjoy a three-course holiday meal at Rod’s Steak & Seafood Grille, in Morris Township. The special menu includes spring salads such as mozzarella, tomatoes and baby arugula; seafood appetizers, entrees such as pineapple-bourbon glazed baked Virginia ham, Long Island duck, rack of Colorado lamb, roast prime rib and, of course, steaks. Desserts include chocolate and peanut butter mousse in a chocolate tulip, lemon meringue tart with fresh blueberries and cheesecake. The cost of dinners for adults range from about $30-$57. For children the cost ranges from about $16-$20.
- You Need to Know About Easter at Copeland: There are two Easter dining choices at Copeland, in the Westin Governor Morris, in Morris Township. Early birds can try the breakfast buffet for $19 per person from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Later in the day, from 1 to 9 p.m., Chef Robert will have a three-course menu on offer for $56 per adult and $28 per child under 12 years old.
