For Sale: Consolation Prizes for Sad Yankees Fans

Check out what your neighbors are selling on Craigslist.

We thought about doing a list of five pieces of Yankees memorbilia on sale on Craigslist for this week's edition of "Morristown for Sale," to celebrate their loss to the Detroit Tigers, but we're far too kind.

Instead, check out other stuff your neighbors are currently looking to wrestle your hard-earned cash from your hands with.

  1. Have Any Home Movies? And, we mean the old kind, the ones that didn't have any sound that are from, say, the 1950s. If not, then you'll definitely at least acquire some serious Hipster cred with this working Keystone 8mm movie projector, listed since Oct. 6. $50 and it is yours.
  2. Is it Time to Dryclean? If it is and you're still missing it while having this antique clock, well, you're just out of excuses, Mr. Drycleaning Procrastinator. Listed since Oct. 6, you can take this timeless piece of timekeeping home for $95.
  3. OK, Maybe Just One ... Yankees fans, want to remember the good times? Like, you know, when they didn't choke in the ALDS? Oh, relax, we're kidding. We're Phillies fans. Anyway, this Morristown seller has a couple of handsome looking Yankees yearbooks, listed since Oct. 6 and going for $15 each. Just try not to get any tears on the pages; they're delicate, like the Yankees (OK, we'll stop).
  4. Into HUGE Collections? You know a seller is serious when they start pulling out the All Caps button. This one has, and has for your buying pleasure a HUGE Aurora T-Jet Collection, listed since Oct. 6. It also carries a pretty huge price tag, at $550.
  5. Speaking of Hipster Cred ... We're not sure if antique stamp machines will gain you any, but they sure would garner plenty of respect from us if we saw one of these hanging out at your place (next to the projector). Listed since Oct. 2, the seller is asking for $45 or best offer.
