Cameroon Kids' Home Founder to be at Redeemer

Sister Jane Mankaa will be at Morristown church on Sunday, April 15.

Sister Jane Mankaa, founder of the Good Shepherd Home in Cameroon, will be at Church of the Redeemer on Sunday, April 15. 

The press release is below:

Sister Jane Mankaa, founder of the Good Shepherd Home in Cameroon, will speak at on Sunday, April 15. She will preach at both the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services as well as lead the Adult Forum at 9 a.m. In addition to speaking about the Good Shepherd Home, which houses over 100 children and serves many more in the larger community, Mankaa will share her plans to create a clinic to address the health needs of the children in the village. The clinic will be named after a deceased parishioner, Roberto Rovere, who was one of the first at Redeemer to support its partnership with the Good Shepherd Home.

The Good Shepherd Home for Children is located in the North West Province of Cameroon, an area in West Africa where an estimated 50,000 children are orphaned. Over 100 of those children have found a home at Good Shepherd where they are sheltered, fed, clothed, educated and most of all, loved. Sr. Jane never turns a child away and no child is put up for adoption. The children live in a loving family environment with a hundred brothers and sisters.
