, which has been in existence for almost 200 years, recently had its outgoing president pass the gavel onto the new president during an annual meeting. The press release is below:
Outgoing President of the Board of Managers Joe Longo of Morristown passed the gavel to incoming President Tom Bintinger of Madison this month at the 197th Annual Meeting of Family Service of Morris County (FSMC), one of the longest running non-profit organizations in the country.
Tom, who resides in Madison, is a retired partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP where he served clients in the aerospace, telecommunication, retail and distribution and not-for-profit sectors. Additional new Officers of FSMC’s Board of Managers are Vice President Christine Myers of Mendham, Treasurer Mark Reffner of Maplewood and Secretary Kirsten Hotchkiss of Morristown.
This year’s Annual Meeting was attended by several dignitaries: Morris County Department of Human Services Director Mary Jo Buchanan, NJ Senator Anthony Bucco, and Morris County Chamber of Commerce LTC Army (Retired) Rich Eastman.
FSMC’s long time success in serving the community is due in great part to the talent and commitment of its Board of Mangers. FSMC continues to seek new members with a variety of backgrounds, including legal and communications/marketing experience, cultural and geographic diversity, and FSMC current and past clients.
