Get a Chance to Talk to JCP&L

Public meeting scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Morris Plains.

JCP&L representatives can expect an earful at a special hearing at the Morris County Public Safety Academy on West Hanover Avenue in Morris Plains.

The three-hour public hearing beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday will be to address the "state of preparedness and responsiveness of JCP&L and other electric distribution companies prior to, during and after Hurricane Irene," according to a memorandum issued by the Morris Township last week. Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty has also said he will be in attendance.

Some residents also were expected to take to the public meeting other concerns, including the ongoing issues in Morristown with underground explosions.
