Get Out: Before the Weather Turns Rainy This Weekend!

Then, get back inside and enjoy some of these fine activities.

Well, it's been mighty warm around here the last couple weeks. Normally, this is where we would say to enjoy that warmth over the weekend, but weather forecasts are saying it's supposed to get cooler, and rainier. Boo.

Alas. Maybe some of these fine activities can make up for a lack of fine weather. Hey, it's still warm until Saturday!

Pre-Passover Wine Tasting
When/Where: On Thursday, 7 to 10 p.m. at  3048 Valley Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Because there are more kosher wines that are just right for the Seder table than you may have imagined. Have fun trying some of them out ahead of time.
Cost: $5 per person

When/Where: Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at , sponsored by the Jefferson Township Republican Club and Jefferson Township Municipal County Committee
Why Go: To support a cause and have a good meal

Why Go: You want to hear some fun, folky stylings over a couple brews.
Cost: No cover

When/Where: Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m., 31 N Passaic Ave, Chatham.
Why Go: Save a life, donate blood! Donors, age 17-76 should be in good health and have some form of identification with them. Teenagers of 16 can donate with parental permission; forms will be at the site. 
Cost: Free

When/Where: Saturday, 9 a.m., from Bethel AME Church, Morristown
Why Go: You want to do good for the planet!
Cost: Free

Annual Comedy Night With Otto and George
When/Where: Saturday at 7 p.m. at the 
Why Go: To listen to some comedy while enjoying dinner, soda and beer.
Cost: $30 per ticket

Not Just Another Pancake Breakfast
When/Where: Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon at the Carey Avenue firehouse
Why Go: To eat some pancakes, French toast and eggs and support the 
Cost: All you can eat for $7

3rd Annual 10K Run From Winter Race
When/Where: Sunday at 10 a.m. at  in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To support Middle Earth with a 10K run through the park. The event proceeds benefit Middle Earth, which is a Somerset County organization that provides youth with a safe environment.
Cost: $30

When/Where: Sunday, 6 p.m. at Morristown Medical Center
Why Go: You want to experience the joy of mindful eating through this four-week workshop.
Cost: $80 


When/Where: Sunday at 8 p.m. at , 450 N. Beverwyck Road, Parsippany
Why Go: How often does a rock legend come to Par-Troy? And you get to enjoy opener Debra Devi too.
Cost: $20
