JCP&L: Underground Network Work Continues

Underground transformer repairs/replacements underway.

Jersey Central Power and Light gained a lot of attention–much of it perhaps unwanted–when . That, in addition to a number of underground transformer issues over the last several years, including events and at , when a manhole cover exploded into the sky, forcing one passerby to seek medical attention for burns. JCP&L also has connected to the for many months, although no conclusive cause of that explosion has yet to be made.

So, JCP&L is letting people know that, yes, they are continuing work on improving the underground transformer system in Morristown. Earlier this week, for example, crews were out on the Green installing a new transformer for the network.
