Kids, Adults: Everyone is Covered on the Entertainment Front

Get Out and the Grab & Go Kids Planner join forces!

The end to another busy week is so close, you can almost smell the weekend.

Get prepped with our Get Out calendar, providing you with events and activities in and around the Morristown area that you will want to keep on your radar. And, now, we're combining "Get Out" with our kid-centric "Grab & Go Kids Planner," so you can get your full slate of weekend entertainment in one easy-to-find-place.


Where/When:
 From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 at  in Morristown.
Why Go: Because nutrition and image consultant Justin Mendoza, board-certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, will lead this workshop.
Pricing: $20, to register place a deposit at the front of the store.

 Starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 at the  in Morristown.
Why Go: Because you like New Orleans jazz, or because you want to go out for a night of music.

Why Go: Because you’re interested in supporting a local author, or picking up a copy of Michael Bronco's "Man School," which focuses on the role that men play in the family.

Why Go: Because Rosanne Cash, Johnny Cash’s daughter, isn’t just riding her father’s coattails; she has written some great hit songs herself.

Why Go: Because Shindell, an American songwriter who has spent time studying in both a seminary and a Zen monastery, will perform. Mad Agnes will also perform in one of the group’s last concerts.

Where/When: At 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the .
Why Go: Because Tony award nominee Robert Cuccioli of the Broadway productions of "Jekyll & Hyde," and "Les Miserables," and Suzzanne Douglas from the film "How Stella Got her Groove Back" will headline the event, and the proceeds will benefit the Bickford Theatre.
Pricing: Tickets range from $65 to $250.

Why Go: Because, according to the Community Theatre’s website, Perlman is “undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin.”

GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER

Where/When: 2 p.m. at the  on Thursday, April 7.
Why Go: Because “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is a popular children’s series, and the movie is rated PG.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: From 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the  on Thursday, April 7.
Why Go: Because families will be given information on how to deal with diabetes.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When:
 From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the  in Madison on Saturday, April 9.
Why Go: Children age 6 or younger can make crafts and participate in this Easter egg hunt, as long as they are accompanied by adults.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the .
Why Go: Because children ages five or older can make a coffee grounds imprint fossil.
Pricing: $3 per child, plus museum admission.


Where/When:
 From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the  on Saturday, April 9.
Why Go: The Harmonium Choral Society and the Morristown Neighborhood House Children’s Chorus will perform songs from around the world for free.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: At 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 at the  in Morristown.
Why Go: Because the story of Christopher Robin and Pooh is a children’s classic, and this production is geared toward children ages four through 10.
Pricing: $12, tickets available online.
