Updated: Let Patch Know if Your Power is Out

We will update this post as often as possible to let folks know where the lights are still on.

Maybe we should be doing a post that reads, "let Patch know if your power is on." It would probably be an easier list to compile, since there are far fewer of you.

For now, we'll continue this list and ask for your patience as we get caught up with those letting us know they are in the dark.

As we did when Irene made her unwelcome presence felt in 2011, Patch is asking those able to do so to let us know if your power is out in Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains. You can do this by leaving a comment on this post, emailing us at morristown@patch.com, or calling us at 973-380-3206. When you leave a comment, indicate what street you're on and in what town.

Like last year, we will update as often as we can. If this thing goes crazy and everyone loses power, it may take a while. Thank you for your patience.

And, like last time, if power returns, let us know so that we can update the list.

Others have said otherwise. Some may be on parts of a road with power, while others without power may be on the same road. That's the situation with my road.

Don't people know if their power is out? Perhaps a Google Map with road closures would be more helpful?

That sounds like a great project for tomorrow morning. Keep an eye out!
John Dunphy October 31, 2012 at 12:38 AM
Such a tease! Luckily, we have a generator where I live. If we didn't, we would be looking at fully-powered homes literally two houses down.
John Dunphy October 31, 2012 at 12:55 AM
Actually, check that. Here you go: http://morristown.patch.com/articles/let-patch-know-when-your-electricity-comes-back

All 4 apartment buildings are out on gates court and have been since Monday night around 9 pm. The whole powder mill development is out except for a single street since last night (Emerson) which is the next street over from us. Haven't seen a single crew for 4 days. Some accurate estimates if when we will have power back as a business owner. In the dark here.

Does anyone know if James Street has power?
Al Baron November 06, 2012 at 01:02 PM
Not a crew to be seen on James St. However, the lines are fixed right up to the Morris Twp. Border. When Mayor Mancuso was asked yesterday when the power was coming back on he said,"I don't know". Really ?? It is job to know!!
