Meltdown: Breaking the Ice

An unseasonably warm Monday in Morristown? Someone who saw the ice melting and thought of accelerating the inevitable? A little of Column A, a little of Column B?

By noon Monday temperatures in Morristown close to 60 degrees. Certainly balmy for early December. And, perhaps, a little too balmy for the ice sculptures created over the weekend on the Green, as puddles were forming below their chilly feet.

Still, if the weather wasn't going to knock them out, it appeared at least one person was going to speed along the process. Is that an elf sculpture over there? Hard to tell when it's in several pieces. At least the tree near Santa's Workshop still resembled a tree. That is a tree, right?
