Morristown Medical Center has proved itself as a top destination for cardiovascular care in New Jersey and one of the best in the New York metropolitan area. The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown performs more than 1,000 heart surgeries annually, more than any other cardiovascular facility in the state. Gagnon is also one of only 20 centers in the country providing a full range of heart valve treatment options through clinical trials, such as the CoreValve US Pivotal Trial, a minimally invasive, non-surgical, catheter-based treatment option for patients with symptomatic, severe aortic stenosis. The hospital also has been selected as one of 60 hospitals in the country to participate in a new trial that could potentially permanently lower blood pressure for patients with chronic hypertension.

“Castle Connolly’s recognition of Morristown Medical Center as the top hospital in New Jersey, and our broad range of marquee services – from cardiac care to pediatrics to orthopedics – is a testament to our dedication to providing superior patient care,” said David Shulkin, MD, president, Morristown Medical Center, vice president, Atlantic Health System. “We take pride not only in providing our patients with the highest quality medical care, but also in offering the latest diagnostic and treatment tools within a warm, nurturing environment for them and their families.”
