JCP&L yet to determine cause for outage shortly before midnight.

Those still awake in the Morristown and Morris Township area Tuesday night had bedtime handed to them anyway when 1,000 people lost power shortly before midnight.

JCP&L Area Manager Jim Markey said approximately 913 customers in the Morristown area lost power at 11:30 p.m. Several Patch readers in the area of James Street said they had lost power.

A "Stage Restoration" was conducted, bringing power back for 849 of those customers by 12:41 a.m., Markey said.
