Own Morristown Nostalgia, on eBay

From glassware to kids cookbooks, it's all here.

Morristown is a treasure-trove of history. Just pop onto eBay and type in the words "Morristown NJ," and you'll be busy for a while.

But, instead of doing that, just take a look at what we found.

  1. Want a Morristown Fire Department Frosted Glass? It's from an "Annual Parade," and is dated Oct. 5, 1974. The seller is asking for $1.25.
  2. Want a 'Never Used' Morristown 'Bureau of Police' Patch? While it may be called the Morristown Police Department now, once upon a time it was the "Bureau of Police." And you can prove it with this "never used" patch, which the seller has listed for $9.98.
  3. Want a Pair of 'Odd Fellows' Rule Books? Dated 1884 and 1890, these are the rule books for the Morris Lodge (think Elks Lodge or, if you're a Honeymooners fan, the Raccoons). Get them both for $14.99.
  4. Want a 'Better Place to Live?' Then, come to Morristown ... in 1960. The town's "Annual Report" features that inviting statement, plus a view of Vail Mansion (sans the luxury condos now connected to it). For $12.50, this "better place to live" is all yours.
  5. Want 'Dirt, Monster Mash, Puppy Chow and Other Delectables?' Then, you're in luck, because in 1992, Alfred Vail and Sussex Avenue elementary schools collaborated together to create one tasty cookbook. And thankfully, for us, it has not been entirely lost to history. This copy can be yours for $7.95.
