Road Closures Expected During Verizon Wireless Classic

Roads are likely to be a bit snarled late Thursday afternoon as Morristown will be hosting the annual Verizon Wireless Classic Challenge Road Race. 

At 5:45 p.m., July 19, Mills Street will be closed from Early Street to Sussex Avenue, it will have limited access to residents only, according to an alert sent from the via Nixle.com.

At 6:45 p.m. Speedwell Avenue (Route 202) between Spring Street and North Park Place (the Green) will be closed. 

Emergency vehicle traffic coming north on Speedwell Avenue and east on Sussex Avenue should plan an alternate route. 

Bus traffic should be relocated to the Morristown Train Station, 122 Morris St.
