Seen in Morristown: Remember New Jersey Bell?

Once, before Verizon, there was Bell Atlantic. Before Bell Atlantic, there was New Jersey Bell. Remember those television commercials and that bass-filled voice of James Earl Jones?

While those days are long gone, and the primitive phone services that came with them, an artifact of what seems an age ago still exists in the parking deck at . And, though the payphone that no doubt accompanied this sign is part of that past, the sign is still a reminder of a simpler time before everyone was tweeting and texting into their telephones–they were just talking into them.
