  1. You Need to Know Craig Newmark Slept Here: Craig who? Newmark? The last name may not be common knowledge, but put "Craig" next to "slist," and you have the creator of what has pretty much single-handedly thrown the classified section of newspapers into obscelescence.
  2. You Need to Know Gene Shalit Slept Here: The former arts critic for NBC in New York–whom many would remember as the man with the oversized moustache, bowties and delivery that prompted humorous jibes (on an episode of early 1990s cartoon "Tiny Toon Adventures," a fake review allegedly by Shalit reads, "I laughed 'till I stopped") was actually born in the Big Apple, but his family moved to Morristown in 1932, when Shalit was eight years old. According to his MSNBC biography (as cribbed from Wikipedia), "In Morristown High School he wrote the school paper’s humor column (prophetically called "The Broadcaster"), and narrowly escaped expulsion."
  3. You Need to Know Bonnie Lee Bakley Slept Here: Another head-scratcher, she was the wife of actor Robert Blake, who was acquitted of charges for her murder, in 2001, but was found liable for the wrongful death of Bakley–who had been known to have a "celebrity obsession," even once claiming to have had a love affair with rock legend Jerry Lee Lewis (a claim he denied). Bakley moved to New York when she was 16, according to her Wikipedia profile. She met and married Blake in 1999 and was killed by a gunshot to the head.
  4. You Need to Know Neil O'Donnell Did Not Sleep Here: While the former NFL quarterback who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to their 1995 losing Super Bowl bid was born in Morristown, he actually grew up in nearby Madison.
  5. You Need to Know Peter Dinklage Slept Here: His may not be a household name, but anyone familiar with his humorous turns in the British and American versions of the movie Death at a Funeral–as the former gay lover of the dearly departed dad, or in Elf–as the famous writer with a Napoleon Complex, will surely be interested to know that he was born in Morristown in 1969. Granted, his wikipedia profile states he grew up in Mendham, so he might have been born at Morristown Memorial Hospital, but we lost his phone number so we'll just have to assume he slept at least a few nights here.
