Town Offers Free Garage Parking During Nor'Easter

Residents can park in any one of four town-maintained garages during winter-weather event.

The story may be growing a little stale, but town residents can at least find comfort in knowing their cars at least will be out of the elements.

With a nor'easter expected to bring heavy winds and wintry weather to the area through the night, the town has once more offered free parking for resident vehicles at any of the town's covered parking garages, effective immediately. This includes DeHart Street, Ann-Bank Street, Dalton Garage on Cattano Avenue and the Vail Parking Deck at Vail Mansion. The garages at Headquarters Plaza and Highlands at Morristown Station are not town-maintained garages.

"All residents are encouraged to take advantage of this offer to ensure their vehicles are safe and to assist with any possible storm cleanup," a press release stated. No required exit time was given, but this latest storm is expected to clear out sometime Thursday morning.
