  1. You Need to Know About Your Breath: It sounds like a "No Duh" situation (does anyone still say "no duh"? Are we showing our age?). But, the breath can be taken for granted. Like electricity in our modern age, it's like a light switch. But, by paying attention to our breath, by being aware, more air can enter our system, which is always a good thing. Check out
  2. You Need to Know About Good Old Nature: The temperature isn't supposed to be terribly oppressive today, with any possible storms not coming until the afternoon. Allowing ourselves a moment of natural reflection, whether it be an extended walk around Burnham Pond, or just a sit-down with the birds on a bench on the Green can do wonders.
  3. You Need to Know About Good Old Exercise: It's true–use it, or lose it (or, in this case, gain it). . While we aren't saying you have to ), a little exercise can go a long way toward mental health, in addition to physical health. Start with some of that good old nature we spoke about above and just walk a trio of laps around the Green. And, incorporate some of that good old breathing. That's what we call a two-fer in the business (no, we don't).
  4. You Need to Know About What You Have: Reflecting on what we have available, and what others don't, can often provide a Zen-like experience. People like . Kind of makes us getting cut off in traffic a pretty petty reason to be annoyed, doesn't it?
  5. You Need to Know About Shutting Me Out, and Off: It seems counter-intuitive to suggest getting away from Morristown Patch, but that's exactly what we're suggesting. We've always been rebellious. But, we know that, if you close up the laptop, turn off the smartphone, put down the tablet, you'll come back to us in headier spirits. And, who will you have to thank for your technology break?
