Week in Review: Turkey Time, Santa Arrives

Greetings, fellow holiday revelers!

We at Morristown Patch want to wish everyone a lovely Thanksgiving. Hopefully, you have had your fill of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie, or and more. Most of all, we hope you spent the holiday with loved ones, sharing stories and being thankful.

This week was choc-a-bloc with holiday-related articles and posts marking the coming winter, including a of the final Morristown Farmers Market of the season.

We collected, other Patch site readers, as well as the Local Editor of the forthcoming Woodbridge Patch site, for a bevy of Thanksgiving dish ideas.

Due to a technical difficulty with our camera's memory card, "Try This, Morristown!" almost never happened. Thankfully, all was resolved in time , which featured the beautiful and well-trained dogs of The Seeing Eye, one of which, Carin, we got to take for a walk and give a bath. Our resident sports nut, Giovanny Infante, proved he was even nuttier than we already thought by agreeing to go out to the Rockaway Townsquare mall Friday morning . From 4 a.m. to noon, Giovanny kept us informed on the goings on, as well as the folks who braved the crowds to take advantage of the "door buster" deals. Thanks again, Gio, we hope you got a rewarding nap afterward!

And finally, a Morristown tradition continued for the 97th year, as , sponsored by the Morristown Partnership. Many turned out for the popular unofficial start of winter, including our own John Arthur, who provided an article of the festivities, and John Marelli, who captured the event with both photos and video.
