A Disney Storytime
Where/When: Barnes & Noble in Morris Plains beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 31.
Why Go: Because your child loves Disney and loves story time, and because the event is free.
Where/When: From 4:30 to 5 p.m. at the on Thursday, March 31.
Why Go: Because kindergarteners through second-graders can hear stories and discuss books, both fiction and nonfiction. To register, see the Jefferson Township Public Library's website.
Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Where/When: From 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 and any time from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1 at the in Madison.
Why Go: Because children between ages 2 and 6 can bring their favorite stuffed animals for a sleepover between 4 and 5 p.m. on Thursday (only the stuffed animal will be sleeping over). The non-stuffed attendees will have snacks and listen to a story, then tuck their stuffed animals in. When families go back on Friday to pick up the stuffed animals, they can find out what their stuffed animals were doing all night.
Pricing: $3 per participant plus regular admission for all others, which includes both days’ activities. Register by calling 973-377-2982, extension 12.

Why Go: Because all ages are welcome, and The Music Den has its own PA system, drums, piano, and electric drum kit for musicians to use.
Storytime for 2- to 6- Year Olds
Where/When: Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. at the .
Why Go: Because, if you want your child to be interested in reading, taking them to story time is a good start.

Why Go: Because children ages two through six, with an adult, can walk the trails and learn about animals and plants.

Why Go: Because attendees can hike the mountain and learn about the balanced glacial erratic. For ages seven or older. Pre-registration required at 973-334-3130.
Where/When: At in Morris Township on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Because families can meet farm animals, take part in some farm work, or explore how life on an estate farm was in the early 20th Century.
Pricing: $6 for adults, $5 for seniors older than 65, $4 for children 4 to 16, $2 for children 2 and 3, free for children younger than 2.
Where/When: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at the Cooper Gristmill in Chester Township.
Why Go: Because families can tour the Cooper Gristmill on opening day of its 33rd season.
Pricing: $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, $1 for children between ages 4 and 16, free for children younger than 4.

Why Go: Because the whole family can enjoy cartoons on the Morris Museum’s big screen.

Children’s Author Visit to County Library
Where/When: Beginning at 3 p.m. at the Morris County Library in Hanover on Saturday, April 2.
Why Go: If your children are between ages 4 and 7 and are fans of Harriet Ruderman’s “Laceyville Monkeys,” then stop by the library to see her read from the book.
Where/When: From 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at the in Madison.
Why Go: Because, during the Saturday workshop, children between ages 8 and 12 can learn Ukrainian egg decorating, and on Sunday ages 13 and older can do the same.
Pricing: $15 for members and $20 for non-members, includes supplies. Pre-registration is required by calling 973-377-2982, extension 14.
