Election Day 'Steady' So Far, Says Municipal Clerk

Polls remain open in Morristown until 8 p.m.

Turnout has been "steady" so far for the general election now underway, according to Morristown Town Clerk Matthew Stechauner.

"The clerk told Patch that  the day's polling has featured no major problems. He added that the busiest times at the polls tend to be early in the morning, during lunchtime and in the evening after people return home from work.

Stechauner said that if voters run into problems at the polls, "the poll workers are there to help."

If by chance they can't help, voters are counseled to contact the Morris County Board of Elections

Polls will remain open until 8 p.m. Find out what you need to know for Election Day here.
