Letter to the Editor: Feldman for Assembly Supporter Speaks Out

Like many Americans, I am content to watch politics from the sidelines, casting my vote in the privacy of the election booth.  However, on Tuesday, the residents of Morris County will be voting for our representation in the New Jersey State Assembly, and I cannot sit on the sidelines and just watch this election day.  This election is too important for any of us to be silent or complacent, and I must urge my fellow Morris County residents, whether Republican, Democrat or Unaffiliated, to join me in voting for independent candidate Rebecca Feldman for State Assembly.

In Rebecca, we have a real chance to put someone in office who cares more about governing and less about politics.  By electing Rebecca, we give power to someone who will use her office to create sensible solutions, instead of advancing an arcane and insensible personal ideology.  Rebecca has been my neighbor for many years.  I watched her grow from president of our local neighborhood association, to member of the town Planning Board, and finally to independent town council representative.  Our ward is a mix of Republicans, Democrats and Unaffiliated, and Rebecca has reached out and listened to us all, crafting practical solutions that meet people where they live.  I am confident that she will bring to Trenton her valuable experience in governing, and her genuine desire to work with everyone to achieve effective solutions to the important problems and issues we all face, regardless of our political affiliation.

Thank you for your consideration.
