Community Day Court Tour
As part of its Community Outreach Program, the Morris/Sussex Vicinage will be holding its second Community Day Court Tour on Friday, August 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Freeholder’s public meeting room on the fifth floor of the Morris County Administration and Records Building, 10 Court St., Morristown.
The event will focus on communicating the Judiciary’s role in the community. The Office of the Ombudsman will give participants a historical overview of the Morris County Courthouse. Participants will observer a court hearing and learn about the Sheriff’s role within the court. Guest speakers will describe court services such as criminal intake, drug court, probation, special civil, landlord-tenant, and policies and procedures of various court divisions.
Packets including fact sheets, brochures, handbooks, and bookmarks will be distributed and frequently asked questions will be answered.
Because this is an informational event only, no individual cases will be discussed or resolved.
Seating is limited. Reservations should be made by contacting Brenda Soto at 973-656-3997 or atMRSOmbudsman.mailbox@judiciary.state.nj.us
