First Night Morris County– NJ’s biggest and brightest First Night, an alcohol-free, family-friendly celebration of the arts featuring nearly 80 events in 24 Morristown venues (along with two sets of fireworks) between 7pm and midnight. Featuring jazz, classical, rock ‘n  roll, bluegrass/roots, world music & dance (from West Africa, Caribbean, Russia, Eastern Europe, North India, etc.), theatre/comedy/mime, children’s programming, visual arts and more, the evening showcases world class artists (including a 5-time Grammy nominee) who have appeared at the White House, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, PBS TV, the Stone Pony, Grand Ole Opry, Sesame Place, The David Letterman Show, NPR and such.
