Dance Innovations Performance Foundation presents exciting new Nutcracker performance to benefit kids and families.
The holiday season’s tradition of sharing and celebration will once again come to full realization in Dance Innovations Performance Foundation’s (DIPF) annual production of “A Nutcracker’s Christmas Carol – A Holiday Storybook Tale” on Saturday, December 8 at Morristown High School with shows at 1pm and 6pm. Combining two favorite holiday stories, this fun filled dance journey will take you through the Land of Sweets through a variety of dance styles including tap, pointe, contemporary, lyrical and classical ballet, modern, hip hop and musical theatre!
You won’t want to miss this unique and creative production featuring professional dancers as guest artists in leading roles, including Nick Scioscione of Stephen Petronio Dance Company; Julie Cobble from Roxie Ballet; Laura Neese of Darrah Carr Dance Company; actor/singer Eric Harper; Dance Innovations Performance Foundation Company, as well as the talented students of Dance Innovations Performance Company.
A portion of the proceeds from this family-friendly production will benefit children and families of special needs or circumstance. Throughout the day, DIPF is offering a variety of activities for the public to help support the Lance Corporal Vincent M. Sullivan and the Kids For Kids Fine Arts Scholarship Funds including a Toy Drive Basket Silent Auction.
The entire performance will be interpreted for deaf and hard of hearing members of the audience by a licensed sign language interpreter. These two special benefit performances are the perfect kick-off to the holiday season, combining two timeless tales, family fun and the spirit of giving!
Additional funding for this production has been made possible in part by the Arts Council of the Morris Area through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
