Religious Freedom in Israel with Rabbi Miri Gold of Kibbutz Gezer, Israel

Temple B'Nai Or and ARZA invite the public to a special presentation with Rabbi Miri Gold from Kibbutz Gezer, Israel on- "Religious Freedom in Israel: Making it a reality not just an ideal" with Rabbi Miri Gold .  Israeli Reform Rabbi Miri Gold serves as Rabbi of Kehilat Birkat Shalom, a regional Reform synagogue based at Kibbutz Gezer.  Rabbi Gold will be the first non-orthodox Rabbi to be paid by the State of Israel under a ruling by the Israeli Attorney General this past May.  This success comes after a seven year fight by the Israeli Reform movement's Israel Religious Action Center in the Israeli Supreme Cout.  Rabbi Gold's visit to the US is sponsored by ARZA: the Reform Israel Fund.  ARZA is the Israel voice of the Reform Movement in the United State.  ARZA champions and supports activities that help build an inclusive and democratic Israeli society.  For more information, call the Temple at 973 539 4539.
