Greater Morristown YMCA Swim Team Tryouts July 12-13

Greater Morristown YMCA Swim Team Tryouts This Weekend  

CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J. – The Greater Morristown YMCA will hold
tryouts for its competitive swim team this Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13. Pre-registration
is not required but all children attending must bring completed forms available
here (pdf) and a $10 fee (check or cash only) 

For ages 12 and under, tryouts will be held at the YMCA on
Saturday, July 12 at 4 pm and ages 13 and older tryouts are on Sunday, July 13
at 8 am.  Swimmers should be able to
complete freestyle laps and may also try out for breaststroke, backstroke,
butterfly and IM. Tryouts are open to everyone and no prior competitive swim
team experience is necessary, however the following minimum requirements should
be met:

Ages 8 & under: swim 25 meters/one lap

Ages 9, 10, 11, 12: swim 50 meters/two laps

Ages 13 & up: swim 100 meters/four laps
