Volunteer for Great Swamp Watershed Association‘s late-spring workday on Saturday, June 16, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at our 53-acre Conservation Management Area (CMA) in Harding, NJ. All people age 15 and up are welcome to help us maintain and improve access to this secluded natural treasure. Tasks will include creating a seating and picnic area at the property entrance, removing non-native invasive plants, and planting native shrubs. All tools & supplies provided. Just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Please register to volunteer online at GreatSwamp.org/EventReg.htm or call 973-538-3500 for more information. Wetlands are frequently damp and muddy, so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy outdoor shoes.
The CMA, located at 1 Tiger Lily Lane in Morristown, NJ, is open to the public from dawn to dusk each day. Stop by and take a stroll along the boardwalks. Linger along the banks of Silver Brook and listen for frogs and a whole host of songbirds. It's all yours to enjoy!
