Home Repair Workshop Series to Benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity

Seven weekly workshops will be held on consecutive Thursdays as part of Morris Habitat for Humanity's 25th anniversary celebration. These home repair workshops will include classes on how to deal with mold problems, basic tiling, cutting molding, make-overs on a budget, and how to save on cooling bills.

Each session will cost $10, or $55 for all seven sessions. Attendees will receive a coupon to the ReStore as well, for 40% off any item $200 or less. Proceeds benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity.

Registration forms can be picked up at the ReStore's Mine Hill location from Wed to Sun, 10am - 4 pm, or Thursday from 10am to 8pm. Anyone interested can also register on the Morris Habitat for Humanity website.

The Morris Habitat for Humanity, which is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, has built 48 homes in Morris County and they plan to build 33 more by 2015 -- volunteers work together with the families that will live in each home, providing, as they call it in a press release, "a hand up not a hand out."

They also provide no-interest mortgages and make no profits on the sale of the home.
