Community Corner

Hurricane Irene Disaster Relief Clothing and Food Drive

Join the community in a day of giving and getting back.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles will be collecting clothing and non-perishable food items at the Morristown Green to help local residents impacted by Hurricane Irene.

This is also a swap giving participants a chance to acquire some new items if they choose.

People with nothing to donate are extremely encouraged to participate and pick up any clothing or food needed.

All surplus clothing from the event will be an infusion to The Salvation Army of Morristown.

During the event there will also be a fund raiser to fight Breast Cancer at the Eagles Club on Market street with a 50/50, music, food and drinks available.

There will be complimentary food and live music on The Green.

----------------------------------------------------------

The Rundown:

Come to the Morristown Green starting at 12 to make donations or help volunteer.

Clothing will be divided into designated areas and laid out in marked off rows.

Once the event gets started, see if there is something you like; if so, it's yours.

Please don't be greedy. The idea is to give more than you take.

The Request:

Please bring new or lightly worn clean clothing ready to be displayed.

Please fold & separate clothes in Men’s/Women’s, Boy’s/Girl’s bags.

Like-new shoes are preferred.

Toys are welcomed.

Please don’t take more than you need.
