Homeless Solutions President Honored For Service

Rev. Dr. Elizabeth S. Hall was recognized with Distinguished Service Award.

Homeless Solutions President, Rev. Dr. Elizabeth S. Hall, was recognized on Oct. 16 by the Drew Theological School Alumni with their Distinguished Service Award.  

Hall was presented with the Award at the Drew Theological School Alumni and Friends Luncheon and Annual Meeting by the Association President Rev. Joseph P. Monahan and Rev. Dr. Neil Tolboom, of the Morristown United Methodist Church.

Hall is an ordained Presbyterian minister and received her master of divinity from Drew Theological School in 1984; she also holds doctor of ministry from Columbia Seminary.  

Hall began her 14 year career in parish ministry serving in the First United Church in Troy, NY and then moved to the West Seneca Presbyterian Church in West Seneca, NY.  In 1998, Hall was named President of Homeless Solutions, Inc., where she oversees their 85 bed shelter, their ten unit transitional housing facility, the Mt. Kemble Home, the furnishing resale store Furnishing Solutions, and the development of affordable, environmentally friendly housing (76 units built and rehabbed to date). 

In addition, she serves on the executive board of the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey and chairs the board for the Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA.
