Mark Sanchez Volunteers in Morristown, Says He'll Be Back 'Better Than Ever'

The quarterback, recovering from shoulder surgery, says he wants to stick with the Jets.

Injured New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, two months past shoulder surgery, told reporters in Morristown Tuesday that his recuperation is progressing and that he'll "be back better than ever," according to the Star-Ledger.

Sanchez was in the county seat to lend a hand at the Church of the Redeemer soup kitchen. He said he'll need to go through four to six months of rehabilitation to be 100 percent, and told press that when he returns to the NFL, he wants to be back with the Jets. The quarterback tore the labrum of his throwing shoulder during a preseason game against the Giants, the article said.

"I don't want to go anywhere else," he told the Star-Ledger, adding that he has not yet had talks with the team's management.
