Morristown Businesses Lend a Paw For Pups

Proceeds of "Spaw Party" help a trio of dogs get a second chance.

A trio of local businesses united to benefit the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter and provide a trio of dogs with a new leash on life.

A Spaw Party held back in October at the pet friendly Morristown Deli teamed up with Hand and Stone, who performed mini spa services like chair massages for pet owners, while the dogs got grooming and massage services by Wash n Wiggle and Pawlished Pups.

"We also had gifts and refreshments for both pets and the pet owners. The proceeds went to the benefit of Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter," said Robin Bansal, president of Morristown's Hand and Stone. "Anne Angelo and A Calm Palm also participated in dog services. Viva La Pet provided dog treats."

Bansal said the staff and clients at Hand and Stone are dog lovers.

"So we loved the idea of donating money to Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter so dogs could be adopted," Bansal said. "About 30 people showed up at the event and a great time was had by all."
