Adult and Youth Basketball Registration Open at Morristown YMCA

The Greater Morristown YMCA is currently accepting registrations for both its Youth Basketball League and Naismith Adult League. Both leagues begin in December and early registration is encouraged.

Registration is currently underway for the Naismith Adult Basketball League 10-week season, which begins on Dec. 5. All players age 18 and over are welcome to join and participants do not need to be Y members. The cost is $90 per individual or $700 for a team of up to 10 players. Individuals who sign up as free agents are placed on teams by the league commissioner. The NBL is a popular activity for community members to engage in friendly competition. Full court games will be played on Thursday nights at the Y’s indoor gym with certified referees, playoffs and championship. Please email Ryan Deighan at r.deighan@morristownymca.org to register.

There are limited slots remaining in the Youth Basketball League, which runs from Dec. 6 – Feb. 22. The YBA offers something for every age group and ability for youth ranging from four years old to seventh grade. We evaluate every child and make sure that they have the opportunity to develop basketball skills and love of the game while having fun and exercising. At the Y, we believe that no one learns by sitting on the bench. A membership to the Greater Morristown YMCA is required for the child, with a three-month package starting at $65.

Please visit our website at http://greatermorristownymca.org/programs/youth-teens/youth-basketball-league.html for YBA registration information or call the Y at 973-267-0704.
